Dr. David Hastings is incredibly knowledgeable about the human body. He has dedicated his professional life to implementing best practices. He is a Doctor of Chiropractic, and maintains a high level of professionalism, yet is personable with his patients. He has been in private practice for the past 22 years, and has a true passion for his profession. He gains the greatest satisfaction with each patient, as they begin to improve and move through the stages of recovery from pain and misalignment. Patients who come see Dr. Hastings may have acute or chronic conditions. Acute symptoms come on suddenly, while chronic conditions have been endured for quite some time. Being able to participate in his patients' health care is truly satisfying to Dr. Hastings, as he is able to observe patients show improvement. They begin to decrease in their pain and discomfort, and show such improvement in their mobility and function. They increase their activity level, and ultimately improves their quality of life.

Dr. David Hastings studied at Palmer College of Chiropractic West and graduated in 1996 from this well-respected, prestigious institute. During his educational study and internships, he earned the Clinical Excellence Award, and was nominated by his peers for the Student Colleague Award. He was Class President one year during his course of study. He successfully passed 15 National Board Chiropractic Examinations, and has been licensed by the State of California and the State of Texas.
Dr. David Hastings earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Chico in 1991. He studied exercise physiology and physical education. His interest in the power of the human body and health has been a natural interest to him. Dr. Hastings has been an athlete all his life, and has played almost every sport. He competed in Soccer and Track & Field/ Cross Country throughout his college years. He continues to be faithful in his own fitness and well-being.
Dr. Hastings consistently strives to improve and updates his knowledge in the field of Chiropractic. He has completed extensive post-graduate studies emphasizing the treatment and rehabilitation of whiplash injuries, spinal decompression therapy, headaches, neck and back pain. He has focused his interest in learning and implementing plans that involve exercise, whole food nutrition, and nutritional cleansing.
Dr. Hastings has been happily married to his wonderful wife, Alma, for 25 years. They met 29 years ago while completing their undergraduate degrees. Their educational studies continued with Dr. Hastings earning his doctorate degree in Chiropractic, and his wife, Alma, earning a Masters of Science Degree in Counseling. They established their careers before starting their family, and years later were blessed with their lovely children. They have two amazing daughters, Amanda (18) and Olivia (15). Amanda lives in College Station pursuing her college degree, while Olivia is a Sophomore at Champion High School. Their daughters keep them busy with their extra curricular activities of volleyball, dance, art. leadership club and bible studies. While in high school, David and Alma enjoyed supporting Amanda while she was on Champion High School Varsity Volleyball Team, Varsity Track Team and helped juggle her Club Volleyball schedule. Olivia enjoys dance and art and has recently found her interest with interior design and leadership. She has a true passion for her growth in her spiritual journey. As all parents, David and Alma are proud of their daughters who achieve excellent grades and still make time to help others. Dr. Hastings and Alma treasure time with family and friends. In the office, you will also see both of them enjoying their practice, and taking great care of the patients they serve.
Dr. Hastings and his family moved to Boerne, Texas in November 2006, and since then they have fallen in love with the Hill Country. Boerne is a growing town, yet the family finds great pleasure in the tranquil environment outside of the San Antonio area. Boerne is a wonderful town, and they enjoy the small town atmosphere. People of Boerne, and the surrounding areas, are great people. The family enjoys being involved within the community, attending church, and most of their local schools sports, activities and functions.
